- NMSU July 12th at 9:00 a.m. FLARE educational outreach launch with several Cub Scout Packs. Wait to launch until the FAA is contacted. Open sport launch follows until we run out of motors or decide it's time to close up.
- FLARE Monthly HPR Launch - July 26th
- Flare Monthly Sport Launch at NMSU - August 2nd
- The rules for the next TARC should be released during August.
- FLARE Night Launch at NMSU - October 4th Launching starts at 6:30 p.m. Sunset 6:47 p.m. Civil twilight 7:12 p.m. Moonset 10:01 p.m. (26% waxing crescent moon)

Team America Rocket Challenge (TARC 2009)
Rules for the 7th annual Team America Rocketry Challenge, the largest model rocket showcase on the planet, should be announced this August. Last time participating teams designed, built, and launched a model rocket carrying 2 raw eggs and returned them safely to the ground while trying to stay aloft for exactly 45 seconds and an altitude of 750 feet."
